Step-free access | Step free access is available in parts of this station. Step-free access category B1. Step-free access to Ryde bound platform. Ramped walking route, c. 130m to get to Shanklin bound platform. A step-free path is provided between the station entrance and platform 2 (trains towards Sandown, Lake and Shanklin) which requires users to cross the line via a railway crossing. For your safety, wheelchair and mobility scooter users (or if you just require longer to cross the line for any reason), must use the yellow phones at the crossing to contact the signaller for permission to cross the line. You should aim to be at the station 10-15 minutes before the departure of a train to Sandown, Lake or Shanklin to ensure you have plenty of time to cross the line. Please be aware that if you arrive later than this, for your own protection, safety procedures mean that it may not be safe for you to cross the line until after the train has departed. This station does not have any Customer Information Screens or a PA system to announce train services from this station. |
